

Foreclosure Prevention and Eviction Prevention Services
Definition
The foreclosure prevention program is funded with ARPA-SLFRF funds and provides legal advice, negotiation and advocacy to address mortgage default and delinquency to eligible low-income, City of Hayward homeowners. The City contracts with Housing and Economic Rights Advocates (HERA), a non-profit legal services provider, to administer the program. Furthermore, the City has partnered with Centro Legal de la Raza, a non-profit legal services provider, to administer eviction prevention services for Hayward tenants facing eviction. The objective of the service is to provide free consultations on tenancy and eviction-related issues to low-income tenants and provide legal representation for eviction-related matters.
